Domain prices for registration, renewal and transfer
Our domain pricing shows all three prices side by side for every extension, so you know what year two costs before you buy year one.
Price table
Prices are in US dollars and come directly from our billing system, so the price in this table is the price at checkout. Prices exclude tax.

What each price means
Three prices sit side by side so you know what year two costs before you buy year one.
Registration
What you pay to claim a domain that nobody owns yet. Most extensions register for one year at a time.
Renewal
What you pay each year after that to keep the domain. For some extensions, registries set a lower first-year price and a higher renewal price.
Transfer
What you pay to move a domain you already own to ResellerBytes. A transfer also extends your registration by a year, except for certain extensions.
Transfer guideOther costs to know about
DNS management and email forwarding are free add-ons when you register a domain.
ID Protection
Our domain privacy add-on is a paid yearly extra, chosen on the order page. Not every extension allows it. WHOIS and privacy explains why.
Late renewal and restore fees
If a domain expires and passes its grace period, recovering it during the redemption period costs a restore fee. Both periods and the fee vary by extension. For .com, the grace period and the redemption period are 30 days each. Renewing before expiry avoids the fee.
Ways to keep domain costs predictable
Small habits that keep renewals on track and restore fees off the invoice.
- Turn on auto-renew so a missed reminder never costs you a restore fee
- Check the renewal column before choosing an unusual extension for a long-term brand
- Keep your domains in one account so every renewal lands on the same invoice schedule
How much does a domain cost per year?
It depends on the extension. The table above lists the registration price for the first year, the renewal price for each year after, and the transfer price, all pulled live from our billing system in US dollars. Popular extensions like .com sit at the lower end, while some specialist and country extensions cost more.
Why is the renewal price different from the registration price?
Registries set wholesale prices for each extension, and some offer a discounted first year to attract new registrations. The renewal price reflects the standard yearly cost. We list both in the table so there are no surprises in year two. If an extension's renewal price is much higher, consider whether it suits a domain you plan to keep for years.
Are prices shown in my local currency?
Prices on this site are in US dollars, straight from our billing system. If your card or bank account uses a different currency, your card provider converts the charge and may add its own conversion fee.
Do domain prices ever change?
Registries occasionally raise their wholesale prices, and when they do, renewal prices follow. The table always shows current prices from our billing system, so check it before each renewal if you're budgeting closely.
