Information from third parties
- Payment providers may tell us whether a payment succeeded and share fraud-check results.

4. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- create and manage your account and provide the Services you order;
- process payments, issue invoices and send renewal reminders;

- respond to support requests and inquiries;
- keep our systems and your account secure, and detect and prevent fraud and abuse;
- send service notices, such as maintenance alerts, security notices and changes to our terms;
- send marketing emails where you've agreed to receive them or where the law otherwise allows, with a way to unsubscribe in each one;
- meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and respond to lawful requests; and
- improve our website and Services using aggregated usage information.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where data-protection laws require a legal basis for processing, we rely on: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests (such as securing our services and preventing fraud); compliance with legal obligations; and your consent, where we ask for it.
7. International transfers
Our servers and service providers may be located in countries other than yours, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. Where the law requires it, we take steps to protect information that is transferred internationally.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then for as long as required to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations or resolve disputes. How long a record is kept depends on what it is. Billing records, for example, are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and domain registration records for as long as the registrar and registry require. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
10. How we protect information
We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website and client area and access controls for staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we'll notify you and any regulator as required by law.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- receive a copy of your information in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent where we rely on it.
You can update most account details yourself in the client area. To make any other request, email support@resellerbytes.com. We may need to verify your identity first. Some information must be kept for legal reasons, or to complete a domain registration, even if you ask us to delete it.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first. You may also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority where you live.
12. Children
Our Services are not intended for children, and you must be the age of legal majority where you live to open an account. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
